Peter Mandelson, Britain’s former ambassador to the United States, has been arrested by Metropolitan Police in London on suspicion of misconduct in connection with his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Mandelson has previously denied any wrongdoing in his dealings with Epstein.

The arrest comes just four days after British police arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Prince Andrew and brother of King Charles III, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Mountbatten-Windsor was released later that same Thursday. Thames Valley Police indicated they were assessing reports that he had sent Epstein confidential trade reports in 2010, during his time as Britain’s special envoy for international trade.
